At Great Chesterford Kung Fu, we are passionate about preserving the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu and empowering individuals to cultivate physical and mental strength. Our dedicated instructors, Minh and Kieran, bring over two decades of combined experience to guide students on a transformative journey of self-discovery and martial excellence.
Minh Huynh-Quoc
Kung fu has been a passion of mine since university. I always wanted to learn new things and get better at the process of learning. I share this sentiment with Kieran, who I met at Cambridge Kung Fu in 2015.
Being able to teach Kung Fu is a great privilege of mine. I was able to start as a teaching assistant to leading classes for several years. I have discovered that teaching is an art form. One where every one of us has diverse needs and the ability to share knowledge is only as good as your ability to communicate it.
I have had extremely talented Sifus along the way (Ross Sargent and Col Maggs) who have shown me that learning is a dynamic process. A process where you might make mistakes (and many of them!) along the way, but the key to success is the compassion to change and adapt for the betterment of myself and others I share with.
I hope to share this journey with you so that you can experience this rich community I grew up with.
Kieran Love
Since embarking on my Wing Chun journey in 2015, I’ve transitioned from a seasoned Karate practitioner to a martial artist with a profound appreciation for control and self-defense. My commitment to the art was recognised in April 2016 when I joined Cambridge Kung Fu, first as a class assistant and then as a valued member of their Youth and Adult instructor teams.
My passion for Kung Fu has only intensified as I completed the 12 student grades alongside Minh, and now, I am ardently pursuing the 9 PWC (Practical Wing Chun) grades. This journey is a testament to the discipline, precision, and philosophical depth that Kung Fu embodies.
As an instructor, it’s been a burning ambition of mine to develop intuitive teaching practices that constantly challenge both myself and my students. I am dedicated to innovating and refining ways of expressing ideas, all in the pursuit of accelerating the learning process. My approach is dynamic, always evolving, and tailored to unlock the full potential of each student. This relentless pursuit of teaching excellence is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about inspiring transformation through the timeless wisdom of Kung Fu.
